Tight ends across the league truly celebrated their day on October 27th. National Tight Ends Day, which fell on the fourth Sunday in October, kicked off Week 8 with a bang. Several elite tight end performances have been showcased throughout the NFL, including Tampa Bay's Cade Otton, Kansas City's Travis Kelce, San Francisco's George Kittle, Arizona's Trey McBride and Atlanta's Kyle Pitts, to name a few.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth missed the festivities as Pittsburgh was unable to play on Sunday and will instead host the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

Freiermuth hasn't had the breakout season fans were hoping for for the young TE, and has only thrown for over 50 yards twice so far in 2024.

Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson is providing signals at an elite level and could give Friermuth a chance to dominate in his belated celebration of National Tight Ends Day.

Will Freiermuth finally have his breakthrough in 2024? While the Giants could represent a potential trap game for the Steel City, the Pittsburgh tight end could see additional targets and splash play opportunities before his position unit's delayed celebration of MNF.
