BYU scores a wild double snap fake field goal

To put it simply, BYU did the most in Saturday's matchup against the UCF Knights.

The Cougars currently lead 17-0 in the second quarter, and some of those points came on one of the most unique fake field goals we've ever seen in college football. And it couldn't have looked more complicated.

The play that the UCF defense clearly expected would only result in 3 points instead results in a BYU first down. Kicker Will Ferrin goes for a 46-yard field goal, which is definitely within his reach considering his longest field goal of the season is 54 yards.

Instead, he takes the ball and keeps it, turning to the right side to extend the drive for BYU and give his team a chance to put 7 more points on the scoreboard.

Here's a look at the piece:

Ferrin also played his traditional role well in this game, scoring his only field goal attempt of the contest.

BYU had the momentum up to this point in the game and will give UCF plenty to talk about in the locker room at halftime to make things competitive.
