The internet loved Stephen A. Smith destroying Sean Hannity on his Fox News show

You don't just invite Stephen A. Smith to debate live on TV – and when you do, it's your funeral, buddy.

Right-wing Fox News anchor Sean Hannity found this out the hard way. Basically, if you don't know Stephen A., you need to understand that he co-invented and then perfected the “Embrace Debate” format of sports television. He's made millions upon millions of dollars by pontificating, gesticulating and shouting about mostly meaningless sports topics. He is the king of TV debates, for better or worse.

Hannity ran into this buzz saw.

At one point Smith launched into a great little monologue:

“I know you're not talking about someone being clear and convincing and expressing their thoughts clearly, and you're bragging about Donald Trump. We can't look at the same thing if you do that! I won’t do that today!”

Hannity tried the tactics you'd normally see from a political TV host, but Smith kept thwarting him. The internet loved it.

Smith himself summed it all up best by posting a screenshot of himself grinning on TV while Hannity rubbed his temples in apparent panic and confusion.
