NFL fans are praising Tony Romo for his ridiculously bad comment before Jayden Daniels' Hail Mary

The rich list of exciting NFL games on Sunday culminated in an epic conclusion to the game between the Washington Commanders and the Chicago Bears.

The Bears went up by three points with less than 30 seconds left, and the Commanders were forced to hit a Hail Mary well past midfield, which was their only shot to take home the win. Jayden Daniels made an incredible throw, the ball bounced right into the hands of Washington's Noah Brown and the rest was history.

It was arguably the best and most exciting moment of the NFL season so far.

The only person outside of Chicago who wasn't enjoying the proceedings may have been Tony Romo, who appeared with Jim Nantz for CBS. In the moments before the thrilling finish, Romo wondered if the Commanders might bring in backup quarterback Marcus Mariota to throw the Hail Mary because of Daniels' inability to pass since the rib injury that nearly ruled him out of Sunday's game has lost speed.

Honestly, that's a pretty reasonable analysis, although Nantz rightly points out that Daniels has already thrown some pretty deep balls. Unfortunately for Romo, it was immediately disproved when Daniels threw the pigskin almost 70 yards into the air. His attitude now seems ridiculous.

A difficult scene, and one unlikely to be forgotten by NFL fans.

This play is on a lot of guys' highlight reels. Not Romos, though.
