Jordan Love injury update: Quarterback leaves game

play

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love appeared to re-injure his left knee early in the first quarter of the Packers-Jacksonville Jaguars game at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, but Love continued to play in the first half. However, he came out in the second half after being hit following a pass.

Love landed somewhat awkwardly while throwing an incomplete pass with 11 minutes, 50 seconds left in the first quarter and appeared to re-injure his left knee. He was greeted on the sidelines by Dr. Pat McKenzie investigated, but Love returned.

Love went to the medical tent after the following series, but continued to play the rest of the half, although he clearly limped on some plays.

Love completed 12 of 20 passes for 184 yards and one interception in the red zone in the first half. At halftime the Packers led 13-10.

Love missed the second and third games of the season due to a medial ligament injury in his left knee.

Malik Willis, who replaced Love on Sunday, won those two games as the starting quarterback.
