Georgia, which had the week off, remains at No. 2 and gets the remaining No. 1 spot. Penn State and Ohio State, which will face off next week, occupy the next two spots. No. 5 Miami (Fla.) and No. 6 Texas also maintain their positions after wins.

The changes start at No. 7, where LSU was the top-ranked team to suffer a loss. The Tigers fell to No. 16 after their loss to Texas A&M and moved up to No. 11 this week. Tennessee and Clemson improve to Nos. 7 and 8, respectively. Notre Dame, thanks to a convincing triumph over then-No. 24 Navy, vaults to No. 9 ahead of No. 10 Iowa State.
