Judging by his performances when he is ready to start, especially against Man City and Chelsea, Romeo Lavia will be a star for Chelsea this season. He is a smooth and fluid player with the ball who has an incredible talent for turning into space after a press. His work outside of possession is also impressive: in these starts he won 15 duels and recorded five tackles.

This tackle count reflects his numbers from his time at Southampton, where he averaged 2.4 tackles per 90 in the 22/23 season. His impact on Chelsea will be big as they climb the table over the next few weeks and his tackle numbers here against an aggressive Newcastle midfield are worth a look. The 11/10 with Sky Bet for three or more looks good.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham, Sunday, 2pm

Tottenham are great but not trustworthy. Even in a situation like this, where they are playing away against a winless Crystal Palace, whose fans could be on the verge of turning against them, they make no appeal at all to back them at 8/11 with Sky Bet for the away win . We need to get creative to support Spurs' angle and that depends on their ability to win corners.

An aggressive style that overloads the flanks and generates high turnovers results in a huge number of corners – they have already won 76 this season. Ange Postecoglou's side have won seven or more corners in seven of their eight games this season – their only defeat coming at Manchester United, where the game ended as a contest early in the second half. This makes the evens that Sky Bet offers a nice angle of attack.

West Ham v Manchester United, Sunday 2pm – PLAY SUPER 6 TO WIN £1m!

West Ham have changed key components of their defense and changed coaches, but their pathetic defensive performance remains.

In 2024, the Hammers have conceded 2.19 goals per game in a sample of 27 matches. It is the most of any Premier League team ever represented in this period. These are relegation numbers. The defeat at Tottenham means they have conceded just one goal in their last 26 Premier League games.

The absence of Mohammed Kudus, suspended for his rampage last weekend, only serves to bolster confidence in a pro-unification stance here. The away win at 5/4 on Sky Bet is a temptation.

A better move is simply to back Bruno Fernandes to end his 952-minute Premier League goal drought. Nobody has taken more shots without a goal in the Premier League than Fernandes (23), as there is a degree of variance playing against him in front of goal.

The only thing that can overcome bad luck is hard work and Fernandes represents that mindset. He is a Trier and I expect him to get back on the scoring train soon as he has scored 54 goals in the last five seasons, a goal every 220 minutes. The 5/2 on Sky Bet that he can score at any time is enough for me.

What an opportunity this is for Liverpool.

They timed one of their toughest games of the season perfectly, with Arsenal missing numerous key players. The William Saliba factor is a big factor. The Frenchman has only missed 11 Premier League games since joining the team two years ago, but his goals conceded average is between 0.8 per 90 with him and 1.6 without him.

But I can't support Liverpool on the prices as Arne Slot already mentioned on Wednesday that they will do everything they can to “get a result” – he didn't say they will win the game. That means he will see a draw as a good result – as will Mikel Arteta given their selection issues. Even at this point, being seven points behind Liverpool in the event of a defeat would be psychologically damaging.

A draw suits both and is the highest price of all three results at 12/5 at Sky Bet. This makes no sense, so it seems like an interesting betting opportunity.
