LOS ANGELES – Country star Brad Paisley is ready to sing the national anthem in Game 1 of the 2024 World Series.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees face off on Friday night in Southern California. Paisley isn't afraid of his performance, but he does think about the fact that his performance might go viral.

“Most of the time I feel pretty good and I don't get nervous about the things I do,” Paisley told Fox News Digital. “I really just get into the moment. I don't know, maybe I'm stupid. Tonight might be different, but for now I'm fine. I’m just excited to do this.”

“I feel like there's going to be a lot of support, like people are singing along. Something like that, everyone wants a good national anthem and a good game. I’m not the only one out there.”

Paisley told Fox News Digital that the thought crossed his mind that his Friday night performance could go viral on the Internet.

“Oh yeah, you do. You totally think about the possibility of it going viral, but anything that goes viral in the national anthem is usually not good,” he said. “The best you can hope for is that you're quickly relegated to the back of YouTube and that there are five home runs tonight.”

Paisley told Fox News Digital that his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, was there to support him Friday night and their children are home cheering him on.

They have two children together, 17-year-old son William and 15-year-old son Jasper.

When it came to the matchup between Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge, Paisley said, “There's so much about it that's never been done before.”

“The main thing – we're talking about two MVPs of each league, almost guaranteed. So, Judge and Ohtani – they each hit 50 home runs in a season, they both had unprecedented success, incredible players and.” The team behind them is just as good.
