Buddy Hield is already making an impact with the Golden State Warriors. The experienced sniper provided a significant number of goals from the bench in the first two games of the season. On Friday, October 25, Hield finished the Warriors' stunning 127-86 victory over the Utah Jazz with 27 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds while shooting 77.8% from 3-point range .

In two games, Hield scored 49 points on 12 of 16 shooting from beyond the arc and 18 of 26 overall. He also grabbed nine rebounds and provided seven assists. What is impressive, however, is his 3-point shooting numbers. In fact, Hield set a new NBA record for most three-pointers with a team by a player in NBA history.

Of course, the Warriors will need Hield to continue performing at an elite level. The early signs suggest he will be an ideal replacement for Klay Thomspon. Still, it will be interesting to see how he copes with an inevitable shooting crisis.

Still, if Hield can continue to light up the game, he could easily be in the running for Sixth Man of the Year honors. More importantly, he will ensure the Warriors have a chance to contend in the remaining 80 games of the regular season and the playoffs.
