World Series 2024: Dodgers vs. Yankees MVP predictions in MLB Final Bracket | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

My goodness, where do we even begin? Actually, that's a stupid question. Of course, we have to start with the Dodgers' $700 million man, Shohei Ohtani, whose star is the brightest in baseball. He normally wows with his two-way skills, but with elbow surgery keeping him off the mound, he just had to shine with his offense. So he went out and invented the 50/50 bat, becoming the first player ever to score at least 50 home runs (54 total) and 50 stolen bases (59).

The Yankees have their own stat sheet destroyer in Aaron Judge. The 6-foot-2 slugger may have the most feared bat in baseball. He was the only player to eclipse Ohtani in home runs (58) and RBI (144), and he also led the majors in on-base percentage (.458) and pace slugging percentage (.701 ).

These are the co-headliners, but there are more stars on both sides. For the Dodgers, Mookie Betts does a little (or often a lot) of everything, and Freddie Freeman, when healthy, is a nightmare for opposing pitchers. For the Yankees, Juan Soto has been everything they hoped for and more, and Giancarlo Stanton continues to prove that his bat has even more power (five home runs this postseason, tied for the MLB's best).

Should a pitcher heat up and shut down one of these stacked lineups, that might be MVP-worthy. Jack Flaherty, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón are all capable of such feats. As far as RPG regulars go, pretty much everyone could Things are heating up, but Max Muncy and Jazz Chisholm Jr. both look capable of electrifying this series.
