LARRY KUDLOW: Trump's re-election momentum continues to grow

Donald Trump – winning in politics and now also in popularity. That’s the theme of “The Riff.”

Donald Trump's re-election momentum continues to grow. Today the popular New York Post, the fourth largest daily newspaper in the US, wrote an excellent, comprehensive endorsement of Mr. Trump.

I just want to point out that at FOX Business we are co-owners with the Post Office. Please read the New York Post recommendation for yourself, but the main points were: a secure border; sensible immigration system; safer cities and support for law and order; a thriving economy with low taxes and low regulation for all – driven by energy policies that support, not penalize, industry and households; common-sense policies that restore parents' power to decide what's best for their children when it comes to school choice, gender surgeries and trans athletes in women's sports; and an America that is respected on the world stage – feared by our enemies and trusted by our allies.

MARK CUBAN ASKS WHY EVERYTHING WENT “WRONG” FOR TRUMP: “BAD PRESIDENT”

The New York Post harshly criticized Kamala Harris as an “underqualified political lightweight” who tries to hide the full extent of her radical agenda and remains a very progressive San Franciscan.

Elsewhere in the newsroom today, the left-wing Washington Post editorial board decided not to endorse this year, despite endorsing Joe Biden four years ago.

And the equally liberal Los Angeles Times also decided against supporting him after also supporting Joe Biden four years ago.

And from vice presidential candidate Tim Walz's home state, the Minnesota Star Tribune snubbed its incumbent governor by not endorsing the Democratic candidacy. Yes, you guessed it. Four years ago they were for Joe Biden.

TRUMP CAN LOWER INFLATION: JOHN PAULSON

It's a bit like the liberals on Wall Street or the left-wing economics division of Goldman Sachs, all of whom once favored Biden and Kamala, now see the handwriting on the wall and are running for the hills with their Bentleys, motorcycles and even their Citi bikes . A bit like all those Democratic Senate candidates ignoring the “Hitler card” and praising Trump in their own ads.

Something very interesting is happening out there.

And finally, last night we talked about how Trump's popularity ratings have improved to the highest level in his nine-year political career. Kudos to James Freeman of the Wall Street Journal for touting Mr. Trump's popularity today.

In case you missed the numbers, the Gallup poll shows that Trump is viewed favorably by 50% of U.S. adults and unfavorably by 48%. When he won in 2016, his approval rating was just 36%.

And in the most recent Journal poll, Mr. Trump's popularity lead was 52% to 48%. In contrast, Kamala's popularity is below average, with a negative score of 53% and a positive score of only 45%.

As I've said a hundred times: polls are not votes.

But when you look at the trend in the polls on Trump in terms of popularity and politics, you know something is in the air.

And when you see all these scared liberals running for the hills as fast as their little bodies can carry them, political change is definitely in the air.

And that is “The Riff”.
