Matt Davis' summer is over, but the goaltender is ready to help the Denver Pioneers defend their title

Denver will be chasing its second straight win against a nationally ranked opponent when it closes the series on Saturday against Wisconsin. A limited number of tickets are available starting at $31.

The Pioneers are 6-0-1 in their last seven games with the Badgers, who were friends of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association from 1969 to 2013. Wisconsin then went to the Big Ten while Denver moved to the NCHC. Wisconsin is playing in Denver for the first time since 2016.

Denver defeated No. 19 Northeastern last weekend in a series that set home attendance records, including a single-game mark of 7,051 who watched the Pios raise their banner for their 10th NCAA Championship.

On Friday, Matt Davis made 31 saves for the Pioneers, who overcame a 1-0 deficit to win their 14th straight game since last season. It is the third-longest multi-season winning streak in program history.
