A week off hasn't awakened Aaron Judge from his postseason slumber.

Judge began the World Series 0-for-2, striking out both offenses against Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty on Friday night.

Judge went 5-31 in the World Series, winning the series against the Royals and Guardians. His bat was silent except for late-inning home runs in Games 2 and 3 of the ALCS.

Judge's superstar counterpart, Shohei Ohtani, also started 0-for-2.

Ohtani hit the first pitch of the game from Gerrit Cole to the warning track, where it was intercepted by Judge.

The Japanese DH then struck out in his second at-bat, keeping the game scoreless until the fourth inning.

Judge hit 58 home runs in the regular season and challenged for the Triple Crown, but has yet to make that kind of mark in the playoffs.

“The journey is always hard, but that’s the fun of it all,” Judge said earlier this week. “There have been good times and bad times, but this is where the real fun begins. As a kid, I spent years watching the Yankees play and win the World Series. This excitement, this emotion, the city comes alive. It's something special. I’m excited to do that with this group.”
