Hoosiers hosts UW, College GameDay

Jedd Fisch faces a unique challenge. He gets to play against an undefeated, ranked team. And interestingly enough, that undefeated, top-ranked team is the Indiana Hoosiers. This feels a bit strange given Indiana's history. But hey, they're pretty good.

The Indiana Hoosiers are 7-0 and ranked 13th in the country. And the Washington Huskies definitely need a win as the regular season is nearing its end and UW still needs to pick up six wins. We have seven games on UW's 2024 schedule and the Huskies haven't exactly been consistent.

Well, sort of. They have been consistent in that they have never won a game on a playing surface other than Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.

And that's one of the reasons why this is a unique challenge. Washington has shown potential, but they are much worse on the road than when playing in front of a purple-clad home crowd. And if they cross time zones? Well, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Iowa Hawkeyes certainly appreciated hosting UW for oddly timed games.

It will be fun. There's no way Washington can hurt our feelings if it loses this one, right? Right?

Here's everything you need to know to watch the Huskies take on No. 13 Hoosiers (who are technically probably a promotion program, but they are a long-time Big Ten member and Washington is not, and the Hoosiers have definitely looked better than the Huskies have for most of this season):

It's not like Indiana is a blue blood program in every way, but they're looking the real deal this year. Their offense is fearsome and their defense is consistently among the best in the Big Ten. This is a very successful, diverse Hoosiers team that is thriving this season.

And Cignetti and Indiana have certainly received a lot of attention from people across the country who are curious to see how far the Hoosiers can go. So if Washington were to spoil the Hoosiers' special day, it would be a big win for Fisch and Co.
