Last free game released on Epic Games Store before Halloween

The Epic Games Store is offering a new free game in the last week before Halloween. Unlike last week, where PC gamers received two free game downloads thanks to the Epic Games Store, this week there's only one. The game in question can be downloaded free of charge and without obligation from today until October 31st, i.e. next Thursday. Once you claim it, you can keep the game. And that's all. No subscriptions are required. This is also not a free trial or free demo. It is a complete free game download, simple and easy.

The game in question dates back to 2020, when it was released by developers SMG Studio and Devm Games with the help of publisher Team17. For those who don't understand, the game is Moving Out, which actually got a sequel in 2023, Moving Out 2. The sequel isn't free to download, but the first game is.

You can read more about the co-op game and watch an official trailer for it below. It earned a Metacritic score of 79 upon release, a decent return and one that makes it one of the better co-op games of its year.

“Moving Out is a ridiculous, physics-based motion simulator that brings new meaning to couch co-op,” reads an official description of the game. “Are you ready for an exciting career in the furniture sector? As a newly certified furniture arranging and moving technician, you'll handle moving jobs in the busy city of Packmore. Smooth Moves may not be the largest moving company, but there is no task too dangerous or strange for this busy team of go-getters. Take your business to new heights, recruit colorful, customizable characters and save your city from the furniture menace!”

If you want to check out Moving Out now that it's available for free through the Epic Games Store, you should expect a game that's around five to ten hours long, depending on how much side content you engage with. However, completionists will need around 20 hours with the game to complete everything there is to do in it.
