Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder October 24, 2024

Welcome to Denver Stiffs! We're glad you're here.

Denver Stiffs is a community where sports fans of all backgrounds come together to share their passion. We are committed to creating a fun and welcoming place for every fan to come along. These guidelines help make that happen. Here is the short version:

  • Be respectful when dealing with contributors and other fans.
  • Don't be an idiot or call other people idiots.
  • We will remove anything that endangers our communities.
  • You can help with this. If you see something that doesn't follow our guidelines, let us know. Flag any comments or usernames that violate our guidelines so our community managers can review them.

These rules apply everywhere in our communities: in our comments, on social media, and in real life.

We do not allow the following:

  • Personal attacks: This includes name-calling, insults, threats, hurtful comments about a person's appearance, voice or style, and any other form of attack. We want our communities to be welcoming and fun. Personal attacks are the opposite of that.
  • Attacks on employees: It's okay to criticize a post, disagree with a take, or point out errors. However, we draw the line at personal attacks (see above) against authors, editors, moderators, etc.
  • Discriminatory or derogatory language: This includes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, hostility to the disabled or other forms of discrimination.
  • Harassment: These include, but are not limited to, intimidation; stalking; unwanted photography; inappropriate physical contact; Using sexual or discriminatory images, comments or jokes; and unwanted sexual attention.
  • I wish harm to athletes: Do not advocate injury, do not advocate harm to a coach or athlete. You may want someone fired or released, but please don't hope for bodily harm.
  • Misinformation and disinformation: Sharing demonstrably false information about news or world events that goes beyond the scope of reasonable sports opinion or analysis can be harmful to our communities. These comments will be removed and may result in a suspension or ban.
  • Illegal activity: Do not promote, encourage or trivialize illegal activities, including drunk driving, domestic violence or sexual assault.
  • NSFW images and comments: Keep it PG-13 or you will be removed. This includes language and images that are sexual, violent or generally offensive in nature.
  • Excessive swear words: Fans get excited on game days and we are fans too. We understand that. In general, swear words should be kept to a minimum. Some communities prohibit profanity. Be sure to read the policies of each community you join.
  • Multiple accounts and disposable emails: This sends a signal that you are not interested in being a productive member of our communities, and we will not allow it.
  • Trolling: We know it when we see it and we will remove it. Also, don't visit an opposing team's community just to annoy their fans. Additionally, you should never post private or personally identifiable information. Doxxing is strictly prohibited.
  • The “first post” rule: If you violate any of these guidelines with your very first post or interaction, it signals to our community managers that you're just here to be disruptive. Violators may be banned, blocked or removed.
  • Spam: We have a zero-tolerance policy against spam, including sharing links to illegal game streams or downloads. Spam is deleted and spammers can be banned, blocked or removed.
  • Political commentary: Denver Stiffs is a website dedicated to the Denver Nuggets, not politics. There are many sites on the Internet where you can discuss politics, but Denver Stiffs is not one of them. Please refrain from making any political comments while using our website.

Anyone who does not follow these rules when participating in our communities will, at best, be excluded from the conversation and, at worst, banned from the community. These decisions are made at the discretion of our community managers and other Mile High Sports employees. Community managers and moderators have the final say on the interpretation of a violation of our Community Guidelines and on any decisions that result in a warning, suspension and/or ban.

If you see any of these things happening in our communities, please report it and it will be looked into. You can also reach us via our contact page.
