Do you think Jaden Ivey is motivated heading into the 2024-2025 NBA season?

After an outstanding preseason, the rising star guard was recently spotted putting in extra work after a practice session this week.

Ivey's extra reps after practice come after an outstanding preseason for the Detroit Pistons.

Fred Vinson, a former New Orleans Pelicans assistant, was a Pistons signing who received high praise in the offseason. Since Vinson is considered a shooting guru, he obviously did a great job with former Pistons first-rounder Ivey.

In Ivey's first two NBA seasons, the young guard made 42 percent of his shots from the field and knocked down less than 35 percent of his three-pointers.

Ivey, who plays alongside Cade Cunningham, has often been described as inappropriate by many people, from fans to analysts. A lot of that had to do with his inconsistent three-point shooting.

While the preseason is just a preview of what could be to come, Ivey has definitely made viewers curious about what he could bring to the table in 2024-2025.

In five preseason games, Ivey led the Pistons in scoring. Ivey spent 21 minutes on the court every night and scored 15 points per game, his career average in 151 regular season games.

But the efficiency with which Ivey shot earned him high praise. Ivey shot almost nine times per game and had an average shooting percentage of 61 percent. With 3.4 three-pointers per game, the former first-round pick knocked down 53 percent of his shots.

Year three could be a difficult or difficult situation for Ivey in Detroit. If his shooting performance remains consistent throughout the year with Vinson, it will be difficult for Detroit to go the latter route, as an efficient three-point shooter would be the ideal backcourt partner for Cunningham.
