Paris Texas has kept things low key this year. After unveiling their impressive longform debut IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AIR As of July 2023, the dynamic rap duo has yet to release a single solo studio cut.

Today, Paris Texas made her surprise return to the scene and debuted her first solo album since then IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AIR with the title “RökKOut”.

At just under four minutes long, “RökKOut” is a long, faithful work by Paris Texas, characterized by the duo's clever wordplay and relatable lyricism.

“Rock out in this b*tch / Rock out in this h*e / I was overseas / Sold out every show,” the chorus begins.

Paris Texas sat down with Hypebeast Hypebeast Magazine Issue 32: The Fever Issue, and shared more about their artistry and approach.

“You could say the craziest things about life, but because a lot of experiences or emotions are shared, people can still relate. Conveying those feelings in music will resonate more than being the most creative lyricist with puns,” Felix said at the time, while Louie Pastel added: “I think (our music) would be different if I were more story-based Things are ongoing, but I decided to bring my artist persona closer to who I am in real life.”
