Today Hulu released a trailer for the upcoming film Inner Chinatowna limited series based on Charles Yu's National Book Award-winning novel of the same name.

The series, like the book, revolves around Willis Wu, a background character caught in a police procedural called Black and White. The world around our hero falls apart as he gets caught up in an all-too-real web of criminal activity.

The series stars Jimmy O. Yang, Ronny Chieng and Chloe Bennet. Executive producer and occasional director is Taika Waititi, the hardest working man in show business. Author Charles Yu is also on board as showrunner, creator and executive producer.

We're particularly excited about this adaptation because Inner Chinatown is thus prepared for film processing. The novel is (partly) written as and about screenplays. And Yu himself is not only a novelist, but also an experienced television writer. He wrote for HBOs Westworldand shows on FX, AMC, Facebook Watch and Adult Swim.

The series starts with all 10 episodes on November 19th.
