Ballon d'Or Betting Odds: Who Will Win the Ballon d'Or?

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr is the favorite on betting sites to win the Ballon d'Or later this month, ahead of teammate Jude Bellingham.

Both players had an excellent season for Madrid as the club won the Champions League, LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup.

Vinicius is aiming to become the first Brazilian since Kaka in 2007 to win the award after a great campaign. The striker has been instrumental in his team's success and has best odds of 2/5 to win.

Bellingham could provide some competition after winning last year's Kopa Trophy, the award given to the best player under 21 at the ceremony, and has strong credentials to take the next step towards winning the Ballon d'Or make.

Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri is also in the mix at odds of 9/5 after playing an integral role in the Premier League and Euro 2024 triumphs.

Two of Rodri's Spanish teammates are relative outsiders when it comes to the Ballon d'Or betting odds. Daniel Carvajal and Lamine Yamal were outstanding at the European Championships and enjoyed impressive performances for both country and club.

Lautaro Martinez, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are also among the contenders, although their odds on football betting sites are low.

This year's winner will be crowned in Paris on October 28, and with Messi and Ronaldo's dominance now over, there will be a new name on the trophy. There will also be awards for the men's and women's Coach of the Year for the first time.

Odds of winning the 2024 Ballon d'Or

Odds of winning Vinicius Junior Ballon d'Or

Vinicius scored 24 goals and managed 11 assists in 39 games in all competitions for Carlo Ancelotti's side, including a hat-trick against Barcelona in the 4-1 Spanish Super Cup final win.

The 24-year-old also scored in Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final to secure his second European title.

He also became the youngest player to score in two Champions League finals after scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Liverpool in 2022. At 23 years and 325 days, he beat Lionel Messi's record by 13 days.

He was also named Champions League Player of the Season by UEFA for his six goals and five assists. Betting apps have made the Brazilian the favorite to win the Ballon d'Or, capping a good year for the Los Blancos striker.

Odds for Jude Bellingham Ballon d'Or

Bellingham, who played in his first season in Spain, was also instrumental in Madrid's Champions League victory with four goals and five assists in his eleven appearances.

He scored a career-best 19 goals last season to lead Madrid to the LaLiga title and capped his season with an assist in a 2-0 win over his former club Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley.

The 21-year-old also had an exceptional year for England, becoming the youngest player to play in two European Championships and two quarter-finals, scoring twice and helping England reach the final with Spain.

After winning the Kopa Trophy in 2023, Bellingham now has a 20/1 chance of winning the Ballon d'Or.

Bellingham was one of six England players named on the 30-man shortlist, which did not include Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time since 2003.

Phil Foden, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka also made it. Foden appears to have the next best qualifications, although with a best price of 100/1 to win the award those hopes appear slim.

In doing so, Bellingham carries a nation's hope of becoming the first English player to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001.

Rodri Ballon d'Or odds

The Premier League is also well represented, with City's Rodri currently sitting between the Real duo at Ballon d'Or odds of 4/1 at Betway.

The midfielder was instrumental in City winning their fourth consecutive Premier League title before helping Spain win the European Championship this summer.

He started all but one of Spain's games, and although he was eliminated at half-time in the final against England, the 28-year-old was named player of the tournament.

The 28-year-old is the most important cog in the wheel of City and La Roja and given his standing in the game among fans, colleagues and pundits, he is definitely worth considering for a Ballon d'Or bet.

Rodri, who joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2019, made just three appearances this season before being ruled out for the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

Lamine Yamal Ballon d'Or odds

Yamal made his presence felt on the international stage with a sensational Euro 2024 campaign.

The 17-year-old scored a stunning goal in Spain's semi-final win over France and provided four assists in the competition, including one in La Roja's triumph over England in the final.

Yamal was named Young Player of the Tournament and also secured the Goal of the Tournament award in a record-breaking season for the Barcelona man.

His performances for the Catalan team in LaLiga in the 2023/24 season weren't bad either: he scored seven goals in 50 appearances in all competitions.

Yamal's odds of winning the Ballon d'Or have fallen to 11/1 and should he continue to perform at his current level, his time will come. This time, however, he seems more on track to winning the Kopa Trophy.

Dani Carvajal odds

Carvajal may have been left out of the current campaign, but he can look back on his previous campaign with pride.

After an outstanding season in which he won the treble with Real and the European Championship with Spain, the defender has odds of 22/1 to win the Ballon d'Or.

He was named in the 2023/24 team of the season in the Champions League and LaLiga, but has received no individual awards despite scoring seven goals and six assists from right-back, including the opening goal in the Champions League final.

Carvajal has won an illustrious collection of team honors, including six Champions League titles, five Super Cups and five Fifa World Club Cups. However, to win the Ballon d'Or, the Spaniard would have to break a massive trend.

Fabio Cannavaro was the last defender to win the award in 2006. Before that, Franz Beckenbauer won it twice (1972 and 1976), before his German compatriot Matthias Sammer was honored in 1996.
