As is typical with most criticism of Taylor, the comments were met with significant backlash online – leading to Zach apologizing in a lengthy Instagram Story and claiming he was drunk when he posted the comment.

Following the controversy, fans were quick to point out that Zach and Brianna had also remained publicly silent online about their normally cute relationship.

However, the country singer's girlfriend addressed the breakup rumors on the episode of Barstool Sports' “BFFs” podcast, which she co-hosts Dave Portnoy And Josh Richards.

“It was a really bad week for me. “I deleted all my social media,” she admitted when asked if there was any truth to the rumors that she and Zach had broken up. “I don’t want to speak for Zach, but he kind of spoke for himself on Instagram. He’s just going through a lot of personal issues and I feel like I’m bearing the brunt of it.”

Then Josh asked, “You mean you're taking the brunt of it online?” to which she clarified, “Yes.”

“It's been a bad week where we… I mean, it's crazy. We don't post each other for a week and it took the internet by storm. He's going through a lot of personal things and I went home and just broke up,” she said.

While it's unclear whether Zach and Brianna have officially ended their romance after their week-long separation, the influencer insisted, “We're together now and everything is fine.”
