Mike Evans of the Buccaneers left the game with a leg injury

Update:

Mike Evans has been ruled out of the game due to a thigh muscle injury.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Baltimore Ravens in an important Monday night showdown. Although star Mike Evans has already caught a touchdown pass, he is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Even after the touchdown, Evans was shown limping on the sideline, trying to process the injury he was dealing with.

Evans tried to score his second touchdown of the game but couldn't hold on. After the game, he was seen clutching his hamstring in visible pain.

Evans' first touchdown pass is now a record, as the star wide receiver is the fifth fastest player to record 100 touchdown passes. He trails only Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and Marvin Harrison.

Despite setting a record, Evans now heads to the locker room with what appears to be the hamstring problem that has been bothering him. Evans has been one of the NFL's most reliable players, but it appears his leg has been stalling him.

Evans has been one of the best receivers in the league for years. He rushed for 310 yards and five touchdowns in six games. In Week 7, Evans had already rushed for 25 yards and a touchdown before the injury forced him out of the game.

There was no word yet on the severity of Evans' injury, but it appeared to be quite serious. Losing him for the rest of the game will hurt the offense, but the Bucs still have Chris Godwin in the lineup alongside Rachaad White.

White was almost unable to suit up and was listed as “questionable” due to a foot injury, but he managed to suit up for Monday Night Football. With Evans potentially out overnight, Baker Mayfield and the offense will rely even more on White.

The Buccaneers have been doing well this season, starting Monday with a 4-2 record. They now face one of their biggest challenges of the 2024 NFL season, against the Baltimore Ravens. If the Buccaneers win, they will be 5-2 in the NFC South and two games ahead of the Atlanta Falcons.

The Ravens are also 4-2 this season and are looking to meet the red-hot Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. The Steelers are 5-2 after defeating the New York Jets on Sunday.

Both teams have strong offenses and strong defenses, so it will be interesting to see who emerges victorious. The Bucs will be without Evans for the remainder of the game.
