“Then why does she live in America?” – The Internet criticizes Twitch streamer Frogan because he hopes that US soldiers get post-traumatic stress disorder

Popular Twitch streamer Frogan has come under fire for her controversial statement about the US military. On October 20, 2024, a video from her stream appeared on X in which she said she had no pity for the soldiers. In addition, she hoped that US military soldiers would develop post-traumatic stress disorder. She said:

“I will never have any damn pity for any damn soldiers. US military? Boo, damn it. I hope you get post-traumatic stress disorder.”

Her statement was met with criticism from social media users. Several X users expressed their disapproval, one netizen wrote:

“Then why does she live in America?”

Netizens criticized her and suggested she should return to her home country, while others pointed out that it was the US soldiers who protected her.

“I understand I don't like the army for many reasons, but wishing harm on someone just isn't the right thing to do,” one X user commented.

“IF WE DON’T LIKE YOU, GO BACK TO YOUR THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!” one social media user exclaimed.

“Wishing post-traumatic stress disorder on the people who are out there to save you is wild,” one person wrote on X.

Social media users called for Frogan to be banned, while war veterans expressed their displeasure with her statement.

“Veterans who survived the war and suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder,” one netizen responded.

“This person who hasn’t been banned yet is fucking crazy,” one X user wrote.

“For a veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder from Iraq, this is disgusting,” one person pointed out.

“You have to be a truly terrible person to speak like that,” one social media user said.

Frogan also said that those who regret what they did don't “deserve” PTSD.

In the viral clip, Frogan noted that those who admitted their wrongdoing shouldn't deserve PTSD. She expressed her frustration, explaining that while some people might only worry about material things like wanting a Camaro or avoiding student loans, she wished they would experience post-traumatic stress disorder and return to America without health insurance. Frogan said:

“The U.S. military says, yeah, you know I did that then, but now I know it's wrong, like I'm changed, screw imperialism, screw this, you don't deserve PTSD. “

However, on October 21, 2024, she addressed the X controversy and acknowledged that the US military had committed “some of the most horrific crimes against humanity.” However, she admitted that certain comments during her livestream were poorly worded. According to her post

“I want to make it clear in the clip that I don’t mean “all” military people, but specifically those with no remorse. What I said was out of frustration that they were currently bombing my family in the name of “liberation.” I realize that causing harm to people is not the best way to talk about these issues and that I could have spoken about these issues more sensitively.”

Frogan explained that the US military has committed some of the most horrific crimes against humanity in modern times, mentioning countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. She made it clear that her anger was directed at those who supported these war crimes as if they had “liberated” her people, calling it terrible and despicable.
