Former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di'Anno, who fronted the legendary band on their first two studio albums “Iron Maiden” and “Killers,” has died at the age of 66, according to his record label Conquest Music.

The label shared the sad news on social media this morning. They wrote: “On behalf of his family, Conquest Music regrets to announce the passing of Paul Andrews, known professionally as Paul Di'Anno. Paul died at his home in Salisbury aged 66.”

“Paul was born on May 17, 1958 in Chingford, east London, and rose to prominence as the lead singer of the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden between 1978 and 1981. He sang on their groundbreaking debut album Iron Maiden and its influential follow-up release, Iron Maiden. Murderer.

“Since leaving Iron Maiden, Paul Di'Anno has had a long and eventful recording career with Battlezone and Killers, as well as numerous solo releases and guest appearances.

“Despite suffering from serious health problems in recent years that limited him to performing in a wheelchair, Paul continued to entertain his fans around the world, logging well over 100 shows as of 2023.”

“His first career retrospective album, The Book of the Beast, was released in September 2024 and contained highlights of his recordings since leaving Iron Maiden.
