Oregon beat Georgia at the top of the NCAA, 1-134

play

Oregon and Georgia are up, Texas is down and Alabama is way, way down in the USA TODAY Sports NCAA Re-Rank 1-134.

The Ducks are the new No. 1 seed after Georgia moved up three spots to No. 2 following the Bulldogs' 30-15 win in Austin. With this loss, Texas drops six spots to No. 7.

This decline reflects the uninspiring strength of the Longhorns' schedule. While Michigan and Oklahoma enjoyed victories when both teams were ranked, the Wolverines and Sooners have since been eliminated from the College Football Playoff roster.

While the Bulldogs looked like they were among the best teams in the country when they defeated Texas on the road, the Ducks remain ahead thanks to an undefeated record and this month's win over Ohio State.

The Buckeyes remain at No. 3, followed by No. 4 Penn State, No. 5 Miami and No. 6 Iowa State.

Tennessee moves up three spots to No. 10 after defeating Alabama 24-17. That's two losses this month for the Crimson Tide and a narrow win against South Carolina.

That drops the Tide five spots to No. 16 and fifth among SEC teams, behind the Bulldogs, Longhorns, No. 9 LSU, the Volunteers and No. 15 Texas A&M. Alabama next takes on No. 23 Missouri.
