It's that time of year again: We're close to the release date of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Activision has revealed all the important details surrounding the release of the upcoming first-person shooter.

In addition to the game's exact release times around the world, the publisher has also detailed when players will be able to preload the title – a useful feature for anyone looking to jump straight into the action on launch day without waiting for the completion of a long one Downloads have to wait first. This is particularly relevant due to Call of Duty's notoriously large memory footprint.

Activision will officially release Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 24, 2024 between 4am and 11pm PT (via the Microsoft Store). However, that's actually just a convoluted way of communicating that the game will be getting a classic local midnight release on October 25, 2024, with some favorable exceptions for the US.

What's notable is that this time block includes the game's release on Xbox Game Pass. Since it is a regional release rollout, you can use that New Zealand trick on Xbox to get access to the game as early as October 24, 2024 at 4 a.m. PT. Simply change the location of your console to the island nation and start playing.

Things are less complicated with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on PC via Steam and Battle.net, which takes place worldwide at a set time.
