Dodgers Projected $73 Million Free Agent Loves Fenway Park; Red Sox have to strike

The Boston Red Sox need to immediately prepare an offer for a Los Angeles Dodgers slugger (and impending free agent) who has openly said he enjoys playing at Fenway Park.

Boston has a shortage of right hitters, and Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow will have to address that issue this offseason.

Acquiring a power bat that can balance Boston's offense is essential, and it sounds like Los Angeles Dodger and recent Home Run Derby winner Teoscar Hernández is ready to take on a Red Sox jersey carry.

As FanSided's Eric Cole reported on Saturday, Hernández recently said at the Baseball is not boring Podcast he enjoys playing at Fenway Park and appreciates Red Sox fans.

“The impending free agent recently appeared on a podcast where he reiterated how much he enjoys playing at Fenway Park and how much he appreciates the Red Sox fans,” Cole said.

It's definitely in Hernandez's best interest to have so many teams, including the Red Sox, vying for his services this offseason after his strong 2024 season. “Boston fans shouldn’t be completely happy about the win, especially considering the Red Sox’ history of falling short when it comes to signing players who want real money.”

“However, Hernandez has had his enthusiasm for Boston as a baseball city for some time.”

Will Breslow be given the resources and green light from above to take action against Hernández?

The slugger is projected to command $73 over three years, per Spotrac, and that number could rise even further if Hernández's agent does his job.
