Rams head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford discuss defensive aggression and offensive execution after the win over the Raiders

“We are not in a position to be picky when it comes to wins at the moment. So we will use them in every way possible. It was a dirty, gritty affair today, our defense played great. Guys.” He did a good job up front, getting the ball into the red zone efficiently and effectively. I think we need to look at what we did well in this game, continue to do that, find the areas where we can improve and do that in a heartbeat.” – Stafford

Stafford thought the offense could have done better today, but they were efficient in the red zone, an area where they've struggled before, and that's something to build on. They scored 2-3 on plays inside the 20-yard line, capped by two rushing touchdowns from running back Kyren Williams. That was one of the things Stafford said was positive about the game.

Stafford said they needed to identify the defense early to get off to a quicker start. The Raiders' approach was “a little different than what people initially thought,” but he believed they were able to “weather the storm” and move the ball down the stretch.

Now the Rams have just a short week left before facing the Vikings on Thursday Night Football, with star wide receiver Cooper Kupp expected to return: “I’m excited for (Kupp). I’m excited about our offense and our team.”
