Jacksonville Jaguars Insider Podcast: Reacting to the Patriots' win

Today's Jacksonville Jaguars Insider Podcast looks at Jacksonville's big 32-16 win over the New England Patriots in Week 7.

Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby also spoke after the game. Read a transcript of his comments below.

Q: How does he get into a rhythm on the field?

Bigsby: “Stay patient, stay calm. Don't get too anxious and wait for opportunities to present themselves. When they come, you have to take full advantage of them.”

Q: Did he see this game as an opportunity with RB Travis Etienne out?

Bigsby: “I’m just doing whatever I have to do to help this team win. My job, whatever my role is, whatever I have to do my best. Of course I take advantage of the opportunities, but I just come out and help this team win. That’s what I try to do as best I can.”

Q: What was going through his mind when the team was down 10-0?

Bigsby: “Just stay patient. You know, I'm positive for the team. The boys are positive to me. Everyone radiates great energy and is patient. Then, like I said, be prepared to trade at a high level as soon as that opportunity presents itself. I feel like that's exactly what we did when these operations came along. We took advantage of them and we must continue to do so.”

Q: How do you think all running backs complement each other?

Bigsby: “We are all good defenders. The coach has put us in different positions and we just have to execute when we get opportunities. So keep growing as players, keep growing as a team and keep doing what we need to do to help the Jags win.”

Q: What does this win mean for the team?

Bigsby: “It does a lot. We're working hard this week after losing the first game. We worked a lot this week and leaned on each other and said: We have to go out and have fun. I feel like we're having fun again. The offense started to pick up and I felt like the defense was capitalizing on the energy. Then we felt the energy and we continued. That's what's so infectious about this game. When one side clicks, the other side starts. That's the best thing about it. I feel like we all clicked and we just have to keep going.”

Q: What does it mean to have a great game at Wembley?

Bigsby: “First of all, I want to thank God for honestly giving me this opportunity. This is amazing. It feels like there aren't too many options in the National Football League. So when you get one, you have to take full advantage of it and give it your best shot. I felt like if we kept running the ball the Patriots were going to get tired and we just have to keep going and keep going and keep going and keep going. I just took advantage of those opportunities because you could see on film that when the fourth quarter comes, the third quarter comes, guys will start making arm tackles and they'll start loitering. So we just did what we had to do when these surgeries came.”

Q: Does he ensure that this style of play continues?

Bigsby: “I’m just getting started. I just go out there and continue to improve every week and try to be the best player I can be for my teammates, myself and my family out there. Just keep doing what I can to the best of my ability.”

Q: How did the team react to the loss last week?

Bigsby: “I feel like this is a time of adversity, and adversity shows real character. It shows who you can be and who you are. I feel like today showed what this team can be when we have our backs against the wall and go through something. Let’s move on.”
