A nightmare start for Norris!

Lando Norris leads the other 18 cars on track on the formation lap.

Every car up to Lance Stroll in 13th place is on the medium tire. Given the heat and the 58 laps still to come, it will likely be a two-stop strategy today.

“It's a tricky first corner, you have four or five cars heading towards an apex. We need a good start, the Ferraris will be tough and Max is always tough.”

“In the last few races we had problems with race speed. The sprint seems much better, let's see if it's the same at full throttle.

“If you are fast in a sprint, that should normally be repeated in the main race. We have to be a little careful, but I’m hopeful.”
