Elon Musk launches daily giveaways worth millions to those who sign a pro-Trump petition

The latest GOP megadonor, Elon Musk, announced that his America PAC would give away a whopping $1 million every day until Election Day to someone who signs his petition.

“We really want to get as many people as possible to sign this petition, so I have a surprise for you,” Musk announced Saturday at a town hall in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. “And we will randomly award $1 million to those who sign the petition. Every day, until the election.”

The petition states: “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing, I pledge my support for the First and Second Amendments.”

The first million-dollar prize went to John Dreher, who described himself as a “big fan” of Musk.

“I received your autobiography ten years ago and I’ve been following you ever since,” Dreher told Musk. “Big fan.”

Musk urged the new millionaire to continue supporting the petition.

Musk has been crisscrossing Pennsylvania this week, highlighting the importance of the crucial battleground state for the 2024 election.

According to Federal Elections Commission (FEC) filings, Musk was America PAC's sole donor, making about $75 million in contributions from July through the end of September. According to FEC filings, the PAC founded by Musk spent about $72 million during that three-month period.

The world's richest man, who said he has voted for former Democratic presidential candidates including Joe Biden in the past, supported Trump this summer after the first assassination attempt on the 45th president on July 13.

America PAC's goal is to get 1 million voters in Pennsylvania and the other swing states of Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina to sign a petition in support of the First and Second changes until October 21st.

Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and majority owner of the social media platform X, is now considered a Republican megadonor thanks to his massive contributions to America PAC. Other Republican megadonors include banking heir Timothy Mellon and Casino billionaire Miriam Adelsonreported Reuters.
