Escape Halloween is getting closer and will bring dance music lovers another spooky weekend. The festival is set to return to the NOS events center To 25-26 October. It features a stacked lineup that includes, among others: Martin Garrix, Fatboy Slim, deadmau5, James hype, Maddix, AFROKI (AFROJACK + Steve Aoki), Don Diablo, Da Tweekaz, Rage Fist, adventure club, Alison Wonderland, Cloonee, Meduzaand more.

Aside from the music, Escape Halloween promises to be another epic experience this year. Insomniac announced that they have expanded the site and changed the layout to create more space for dancing and many exciting new additions. This also includes the debut of Boiler room at the festival, a more central placement of Crazy Town and the relocation of the popular Sewer District stage to the other side of the venue.

Unfortunately, during this festival season, many have reported pickpockets, pickpocketing and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses and other valuables. While this small number of bad apples doesn't make up the entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers, and it's important to be mindful of your valuables during the event Escape Halloween.

Escape Halloween 2024 – Do’s & Don’ts:

Eligible items

• YES deodorant
• YES e-cigarettes/vapes
• YES festival totems or decorated pool noodles (see totem guidelines)
• YES flags/banners or handmade signs (no company/company logos and no fixed flagpoles)
• YES Glow sticks and glowing/illuminated costumes or jewelry, LED poi and orbitals, hula hoops – including LED hoops
• YES UNCLEAR (and clear) hydration packs with no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment (must be empty upon entry)
• YES Non-professional flash/still cameras, portable video devices under 6 inches (Sony Action Cam, GoPro, etc.), and GoPro extension poles
• YES Personal spray fan with a bottle no larger than 1.5L (must be empty upon entry)
• YES Medicines prescribed by a doctor that have not yet expired (the doctor's prescription must be presented upon entry and a security officer must be consulted)
• YES Reusable water bottles (must be empty upon entry)
• YES Sealed intranasal naloxone
• YES, make bags transparent and no larger than 12″x6″x12″.
• YES Opaque (and clear) small clutch bags measuring no larger than 15cm x 23cm (6″ x 9″) with or without a handle or strap are permitted

Prohibited items

• NO aerosol products/cans
• NO balls or Frisbees
• NO costumes similar to public safety uniforms (police, SWAT, fire, security or paramedics)
• NO drones, remote controlled aircraft, toys
• NO drugs or drug paraphernalia
• NO gas masks
• NO glass, cans, cups or coolers
• NO illegal substances
• NO laser pointers and air horns
• NO markers, pens or spray paint
• NO massagers
• NO external food or drinks (including alcohol and sweets)
• NO over-the-counter medications
• NO pets
• NO professional photography, video or audio recording equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, large zooms or rigs for commercial use)
• NO red glowsticks, batons or lightsabers
• NO stickers, flyers
• NO tents, large umbrellas, chairs or blankets
• NO toy guns, water guns, slingshots
• NO weapons of any kind (including pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.)
• NO wind chairs/sofas

Costume Guidelines

• NO drugs or drug paraphernalia
• NO costumes that in any way resemble police, fire, security or medical
• NO handcuffs
• NO glass or ceramic masks
• NO full face makeup that will make you unrecognizable on your government-issued photo ID
• NO items resembling real or fictional weapons or weapon accessories (including whips, lightsabers, axes, pocket knives, swords, pistols, fake weapons/props, etc.)
• NO violent devices such as crops, whips, ropes, chains or tethers
• NO sharp metal tips
• Please remember that we are an inclusive community and costumes/decorations must not misrepresent race, religion or cultural heritage.

Totem Guidelines

• The maximum height is 10 feet.
• Totems must be made of a lightweight material (e.g. foam, PVC / not solid metal).
• Collapsible/telescoping camera extenders that meet the above guidelines are fine (lightweight/hollow aluminum/polycarbonate).
• PVC, light wood or aluminum poles must have a diameter of no more than 2.5 cm.
• Decorated pool noodles are great for easy access through security.
• Inflatable boats attached to totems must be lowered upon entry.
• Items that are considered dangerous are not permitted.
• Totems that promote illegal activity or hate speech are not permitted. Please keep it at PLUR.
