The Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation unveils the schedule for Honolulu Pride 2024

HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation (HLLF) has announced the event series for Honolulu Pride 2024. The festivities culminate in the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival, scheduled for October 19th.

“Honolulu Pride is the largest event of the year for the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation,” said HLLF Executive Director Randy Soriano. “It serves as both a celebration of the MVPFAFF/LGBTQIA+ community and a recognition of the allies working to make Hawaii more inclusive.”

This year's parade, with over 150 participants and more than 4,000 participants, begins at 4 p.m. along Kalakaua Avenue, stretching from Magic Island to Kapiolani Park.

Five Grand Marshals will be honored at the parade, including HLLF founding board members Dr. David McEwan, Sheri Mann, David Brustein, Puakea Nogelmeier and Bill Char.

Following the parade, the Honolulu Pride Festival begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Waikiki Shell.

Attendees can expect various booths, community resources, food, drinks and live performances from Marina Summers, a star of “Drag Race Philippines,” and Nymphia Wind, winner of the 16th season of “RuPaul's Drag Race.”

In addition to the main events, Pride Weekend features performances by Vincent Rodriguez III and Kathy Griffin at the Hawaii Theater, an official opening party at Scarlet Honolulu, an after-party at Hula's Bar and Lei Stand, and a Rainbow Runway Drag Brunch presented by Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines at Alohilani Resort.
