    Tennessee football hosts Alabama at Neyland Stadium on the third Saturday in October, with both teams underperforming in October.

    The Vols survived last week's 23-17 overtime win over Florida, with the UT defense allowing a game-winning touchdown to Gators backup QB DJ Lagway and the UF offense in the final minute of regulation, and the Vols -Offense struggled most of this game.

    The Crimson Tide also survived as home favorites last week, beating South Carolina 27-25 in Tuscaloosa a week after losing at Vanderbilt.
