Indiana Basketball hosts the annual Hoosier Hysteria presented by Smithville

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The 2024-25 men's and women's basketball seasons officially begin with Hoosier Hysteria presented by Smithville on Friday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. ET with free entry. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. This is traditionally one of the organization's most successful fundraising events of the year, raising up to 12,000 pounds of food to support those in need in Monroe, Brown, Lawrence, Orange, Owen and Martin counties.

The event begins with the Homecoming Parade at 5:30 p.m. ET along Woodlawn Avenue between 13th and 17th Streets. Parade goers and Hoosier Hysteria fans should park in all parking lots surrounding Memorial Stadium and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The parade ends with fireworks over the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Hoosier Hysteria officially begins at 7:30 p.m. ET with the introduction of players and coaches from the men's and women's teams Mike Woodson And Teri Moren will address the crowd following special performances by the IU Cheerleaders and RedSteppers. Finally, players from both teams take part in various skills competitions, followed by a scrimmage. Indiana graduate Tricia Whitaker will moderate the event.

The event will be streamed on B1G+. To order click here. A season pass, which brings you all of IU Athletics' live events on B1G+, costs $89.99. A monthly IU card costs $12.99. The men's team will be featured on B1G+ twice this season, while 13 women's games will also be broadcast on the service.

To conclude the homecoming festivities on campus, Indiana football hosts Nebraska on Saturday, October 19th at 12 p.m.
