After a quick turnaround and a game with an immense amount of emotion behind it, Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos Beat that New Orleans Saints 33-10 to earn their fourth win of the season. Without Patrick Surtain II, the Broncos' defense put together a solid performance, allowing three points before a touchdown in garbage time when a few starters were pulled.

The Broncos' offense got the running game going against one of the NFL's worst rushing defenses, but their passing game remained inconsistent.

The Broncos' Week 7 player grades reflect on-field performance on an individual level. To be evaluated, a player must play at least 20 snaps, so 13 players on offense and 17 players on defense qualify this week.

Let's get in.

There were issues in the passing game that stemmed from Nix's footwork and discomfort in the pocket. However, Payton began using Nix's athleticism to bolster the offense on the floor, which needs to continue.

Nix's athleticism and rushing ability have gotten him the rank he has, but the Broncos need to figure out how much footwork and comfort level they have.

This was Williams' best game, as he had his first career game with two rushing touchdowns and the third-highest rushing total. There were some issues with protection, but he almost literally pushed the offense onto him.

Quarterback issues that led to problems in the passing game made it difficult for the Broncos' receivers to get a good grade. Vele made some plays as a blocker, but also had a great catch-and-run.

Franklin was the most consistent receiver, catching five of six yards for a team-high 50 yards with 30 yards gained on one play. Humphrey was solid while Sutton wasn't officially targeted and did well as a blocker.

The Broncos need a legitimate threat at the tight end position. Krull caught three passes for 41 yards, but his blocking attack still leaves a lot to be desired.

Trautman, the only other tight end eligible for a grade, is viewed as a blocking tight end, but he has been inconsistent there and doesn't offer much of anything as a receiver.

The Broncos' tackles played an excellent game against the Saints, who struggled to generate pressure. Between the two tackles, Bolles and McGlinchey only allowed one pressure, and both performed exceptionally well as run blockers.

Powers allowed two pressures in the passing game, but he had an excellent game as a run blocker. Meinerz was flawless in pass defense, but his run blocking had some flaws.

As for Forsyth, the Broncos need more from him as he allowed two pressures in the passing game and struggled in the running game.

The Broncos' defensive line controlled the trenches, thanks largely to Allen, Roach and Franklin-Myers. Jackson and Jones had a solid game, but Jones' poorly timed encroachment penalty negated a huge play for the Broncos defense. It's nice to see the Broncos have a good rotation on the defensive line for the first time in a few years.

This was one of Bonitto's best games in his short career. He did well in attacking the quarterback with five pressures, including a sack. He has now registered a sack in five straight games.

Bonitto had some problems against the run, but they were smaller than before this season. Elliss had a strong game in both phases, Cooper had a bad day as a run defender and Browning struggled all around after returning from injured reserve.

While Barton made big plays, Strnad had an excellent no-splash game. Barton made a splash, but also had a few problems with his game.

Still, it was Barton's best game since joining the Broncos. Alexander also showed excellent plays in his first appearance with the Broncos.

Without Surtain, the Broncos' cornerbacks needed to step up, and they did. Admittedly, they didn't face the toughest duels, but they still had to do their job.

Moss played the Surtain role while Wallace opposite him. McMillian returned from a rough game in Week 6 by having a good game against the Saints.

Jones continues to be a great addition for the Broncos, especially with his play in coverage and his work downhill. He blew up some plays with the speed at which he went downhill.

Locke had a tough game in coverage but made a few plays when things went downhill.
