Disney is donating $3 million to support recovery efforts after Hurricane Milton in Florida

As Florida begins to recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Milton, many communities are facing significant challenges. In response, Disney has announced it will support the recovery effort by donating $3 million to support Cast Members, local communities and nonprofit organizations conducting relief efforts nationwide.

Hurricane Milton, which reached Category 5 status, made landfall on Florida's west coast, bringing damaging winds, heavy rains and life-threatening storm surges. The storm caused widespread flooding, power outages and structural damage throughout Central Florida, including the Orlando area. Many communities are in need of significant recovery efforts, and organizations across the state are mobilizing to help those affected.

This donation follows Disney's longstanding commitment to supporting communities before, during and after natural disasters. The company also provided thousands of meals to organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank and the Osceola Council on Aging, helping ensure those affected by the storm have access to vital resources.

Additionally, in preparation for hurricane season, Disney donated supplies such as blankets, sheets, pillows and hygiene products to various nonprofit organizations in Florida to assist storm shelters during emergencies.

The Disney Employee Relief Fund was activated to provide financial assistance to Cast Members whose primary residences were affected by Hurricane Milton. The company also offers personalized assistance, including repair services, mental health resources, backup care for children and adults, and essential supplies such as food, water and ice.
