Spinners Khan and Ali claimed all 20 England wickets to give Pakistan a 152-run win in the 2nd Test

MULTAN, Pakistan (AP) — Noman Ali and Sajid Khan claimed all 20 wickets on a recycled turning pitch as Pakistan ended their long wait for a home win with a 152-run win over England in the second Test on Friday.

Left-arm spinner Ali took the 11-wicket match with 8-46 and England were bowled out for 144 by a tailor-made dry wicket in the first session on Day 4.

Off-spinner Khan took 2-93 with his 7-111 in the first innings as both spinners bowled unchanged and ran through the tourists' batting line-up after Pakistan had set a massive target of 297 runs.

The win was the first for captain Shan Masud, who lost six straight Tests since being appointed red-ball captain last year and also ended Pakistan's 11-match winless home streak, which included four defeats to England.

Facing Khan and Ali, England capitulated for the second time in the game after remaining at 36-2, needing another improbable 261 runs to take a tricky wicket.

Khan happily accepted a return catch from Ollie Pope on his second ball of the day before Ali broke through to take all the remaining seven wickets as the tourists failed to counter the spin with their sweeps and reverse sweeps.

Captain Ben Stokes, back at the helm after recovering from a torn hamstring, opened the scoring with 37 points before falling in bizarre fashion. Stokes charged through the wicket towards Ali, but the bat flew from the England captain's hand onto backward leg and he was stumped.

Brydon Carse hit three sixes against Khan and scored 27 before beating Ali in the slips as England were unable to counter the spinners on a wicket that had plenty of cracks and twists.

England won the first Test by an innings and 47 runs last week after posting a record of 823-7. The series-deciding third test begins next Thursday in Rawalpindi.
