It's safe to say that Denver Broncos rookie Bo Nix is ​​one heck of a running quarterback.

He proved that again on Thursday night against the Saints, as Denver defeated New Orleans by a final score of 33-10. The Broncos led 33-3 in the final moments before a touchdown in garbage time made the game a little closer.

In total, Nix finished with 10 carries for 75 yards, a whopping 7.5 yards per attempt. He kept several drives alive with his feet and has a knack for getting out of tough situations when it looks like he's going to be sacked.

After the game, Nix was asked about his ability to run the football and complimented players like Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin.

“Well, I guess it’s just an added bonus. Obviously you want to run the ball. Running backs have specific routes and get behind the O-line. (But) sometimes things break, and these hidden courtyards are really important, in my opinion. They get extra first downs and provide an opportunity to just sneak in a few yards,” Nix said.

Nix wasn't the Broncos' only impressive runner in the win. Javonte Williams carried the football 14 times for 88 yards and reached the end zone twice for two touchdowns. Williams averaged 6.3 yards per carry and looked like the guy who had fans salivating in his rookie year in 2021.

“We just let the ball run. If you can run the ball, obviously it’s easier and it just opens up everything else,” Nix said.

As a team, the Broncos pounded the Saints for 225 yards on the ground. Nix completed 16-26 passes for 164 yards and, most importantly, had no turnovers. Still, his and Williams' legs and a strong defensive performance were the main reasons for Denver's victory.

“It was good to see, good to use, and we need to continue to do that when it’s there,” Nix said.

The Broncos are now 4-3 on the season and have another impressive road win under their belt. If Bo Nix and the offense continue to click, the playoffs will become a legitimate conversation for the first time since 2015.
