    It may seem like a lifetime ago, but just nine days ago the Los Angeles Dodgers were in trouble in the NLDS, trailing the San Diego Padres 2-1 in the best-of-five series with Fernando Tatis Jr. the home runs left and right hit right.

    However, the Dodgers found their rhythm and it actually started with LA's pitching in the loss in Game 3. The Dodgers did not allow a run after the second inning of that game – a streak that continued for the rest of the series and into the NLCS. In the last five games, the Dodgers pitching recorded four shutouts, including in both of the team's NLCS victories.

    The Mets will need to find the offense they did in a 7-3 win in Game 2 to have a chance of tying this series, as the Dodgers' potent offense is averaging 5.3 runs per in these playoffs game on, with 20 runs scored so far in the series.

    On Thursday, the Mets turn to Jose Quintana, who has yet to allow a run in 11 postseason innings, and the Dodgers counter with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who pitched 5.0 shutout innings in his last start, LA's win over San Diego. Ball pitched Game 5 of the NLDS.
