(PUEBLO, Colo.) – Sandra Mendoza has been found safe and the Amber Alert has been canceled. The alert notice did not say whether the suspect had been found or whether police were still looking for him.

Amber Alert for Girls Stolen in Truck in Pueblo

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, 10/16/2024 8:49 p.m

An Amber Alert was issued for a girl who was in a truck when it was stolen from Pueblo after the truck was recovered, but the girl and suspect are still missing.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), the truck was found in the 1100 block of Cypress Street, east of the Colorado State Fair, but the girl and suspect could not be located. The girl was identified as Sandra Mendoza and PPD said she may be in danger. She was last seen in the truck that was stolen from the 1200 block of South Prairie Avenue, west of State Fair.

Sandra is described as a Hispanic girl with black hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. She is believed to be dating the suspect, described as a Hispanic male.

If you see Sandra or the suspect, you are urged to immediately contact 911 or Pueblo Police at (719) 553-2502.

ORIGINAL STORY: 13-year-old girl in truck when it was stolen

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is searching for a 14-year-old girl who was in a truck when it was stolen.

According to PPD, a 13-year-old girl was in a 2005 Ford F-250 when the truck was stolen on the south side of Pueblo. The truck is white with a closed loading area and has the license plate BLB-C78.

If you see the truck, girl or suspect pictured above, you are asked to contact PPD at (719) 553-2502 and not approach them.
