PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) – Police said 13-year-old Sandra Mendoza is safe after she was abducted in a stolen car in Pueblo.

An AMBER Alert was issued for 13-year-old Sandra Mendoza of Pueblo Wednesday evening after officials said she was in a vehicle when it was stolen.

Just before 8:45 p.m., officials in Pueblo said the stolen vehicle had been recovered, but a teenager was still missing and the suspect was still at large following a vehicle theft in Pueblo.

The teen was described as a 5-foot-10, 100-pound Hispanic female with hazel eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

At 6:44 p.m., Pueblo police reported the truck was stolen and the teenager was inside.
