It's been eight years since Meghan Trainor went on tour, and the star is taking it billboard behind the scenes of the Timeless Tour at its stop at Madison Square Garden in New York. She talks about what it's like taking her husband Daryl Sabara and kids on tour, what she missed about touring, and more!

Don't do this on TikTok, damn it! Let's go. Damned! Do we really want to film this? billboard? Here we go… It's been about eight years since I've been on tour. I talk to my audience about it every night because I thank them for waiting for me. It was incredible to come back and see the fans and there are so many families that come out and put up signs saying, “I was here eight years ago and now I'm an adult,” which is crazy to me.

So we messed up and my husband and I were like, 'Do we like this? Are we good at this?' Playing MSG is a wish list, certainly a dream come true. I still don't believe it until I get on stage.

My main goal tonight is not to cry. Don't cry. Everyone treated me like it was my birthday today and it was more important to me than just going to award shows. They say, “Happy MSG Day!”

A day in the life on tour with me and my children. We get up early with the babies. If we're lucky, they wake up between 7:30 and 8:00. We're leaving early. Daryl and I go to the venue because the kids need to take a nap at the hotel and then they meet us at the venue. On the way to the venue I do vocal warm-ups and at 4:15 I do the VIP sound check where I sing a song.
