Inside Liam Payne and Cheryl's Relationship – Baby News and Heartbreak | Celebrity News | Showbiz and television

Former One Direction star Liam Payne has died aged 31

Liam Payne and Girls Aloud star Cheryl were once a picture of domestic bliss, especially after the birth of their son Bear. But soon after Bear's arrival, cracks began to appear and in 2018 the couple separated.

This came just months after Bear's world entry in 2017; Both stars have since peeled back the layers where everything went wrong.

They first laid eyes on each other on the set of The X Factor in 2008, when Cheryl sat at the judges' table and 14-year-old Liam vied for fame. They reunited in 2015 when Liam made his comeback with One Direction – the boy band that would make him an international heartthrob.

Liam, 31, dreamed of fatherhood since he was a teenager and longed for a simple life with Cheryl. Even though he didn't necessarily want to pursue a solo career after One Direction, he took the plunge at Cheryl's behest.

Nevertheless, the calm soon gave way to turmoil. Liam even hinted that parenthood had “ruined” their romance, albeit for “all the right reasons”, reports the Mirror.

In a shocking turn of events, news of Liam's untimely death came this evening. He reportedly fell tragically from the third floor of his hotel while vacationing in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

Liam rose to fame as part of the sensational One Direction alongside Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan and his journey to global recognition began on the stage of The X Factor under Simon Cowell's leadership.

Liam reportedly fell tragically from the third floor of a hotel building in the Argentine capital. Following the incident, emergency services including police, fire and ambulance personnel were seen outside the hotel.

It is reported that police were called because a man was reportedly behaving aggressively in the hotel, possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A body was discovered in the hotel courtyard. The hotel manager reportedly alerted the police.

It is believed that Liam fell around 13 or 14 meters and “suffered very serious injuries that are incompatible with life.”

In a statement, the local ambulance manager told TN: “At 5:04 p.m. we were alerted through the integrated public safety system 911 to a person who was in a management courtyard of a South House Hotel. At 5:11 p.m. a SAME team arrived and “We confirmed the death of this man and later found out that he was a singer in a music group. “Unfortunately, as a result of his fall, he had suffered injuries incompatible with life, so we had to confirm his death with the possibility of resuscitation.”

The musician, who was vacationing in Argentina, delighted his fans on TikTok and Snapchat with recent updates alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. However, there were rumors circulating about him and a close friend.

Over the past few months, Liam, 31, has been traveling the world while also giving fans hints about new music.

Here we reflect on Liam's relationship with Cheryl.

Despite their split, Cheryl and Liam still share a strong bond and wish each other the best. Cheryl was reportedly “really worried” about her ex-partner after he was rushed to hospital, which led to his tour being canceled due to a serious kidney infection.

A source close to the former Girls Aloud singer revealed: “Cheryl is really worried about Liam. When she heard he was in hospital she feared the worst.”

“She's really protective of him and worried that no one is really looking out for him.”

The insider suggested that his recent hospitalization was a “warning sign” for Cheryl, who understands the pressure of touring and making money, according to Heat magazine.

The former couple lives close to each other to co-parent their son Bear. Liam is said to have enjoyed the quality time with Bear and appreciates Cheryl's parenting style.

“She is the best mother in the world. I couldn’t ask for anyone better,” he said on Logan Paul’s podcast Impulsive. He added: “I can take my son to school once or twice a week and that’s the best. The relationship we have now as friends has only become closer.”

“We broke up for a reason and now she gives me full autonomy of my life and what I do and I know that he (Bear) will be taken care of. He is everything she cares about and I couldn't ask for more. You.” I always live where he is. My money is his.

Following their split, the One Direction star spoke about the end of his two-year relationship with Cheryl in an interview with Logan Paul, explaining: “To be honest, it ruined a relationship at that point, but for the right reasons.”

He revealed that Bear's birth was scary as Cheryl suffered “quite a lot of bleeding” after the delivery.

As a result, Cheryl had to rest for most of Bear's first day, leaving young Liam to look after their newborn son. “I was in the room with a baby and I had to take care of it. It was fun,” he commented.

Liam shared insights into his heated exchanges with Cheryl and often made the public aware of their private conflicts. During an appearance on the Capital Breakfast show, he tongue-in-cheek criticized Cheryl's accent amid simmering divisive speculation.

He remarked: “I'm a West Brom fan but that's not the problem. Sometimes it is! Well, that's the thing, I mean, Cheryl doesn't really care about football, but she likes to talk about where they come from.” That's what happens, doesn't it, it's like, “Well, I'm from here, so I will do that,” er, that was a great Geordie accent… (laughs). Morning!”

As he looked lightheartedly to the future, Liam reflected on their son's involvement in sports, jokingly saying, “Right now it's like a battle of grandfathers, and at some point he's going to have a tough little choice because you…” Or he has to just say, “You know what, forget that, I like hockey.”

Cheryl and Liam dated for two years before announcing their split in July 2018.

He revealed details about their personal lives, including the challenges they faced finding time for themselves after the birth of their baby bear in 2017.
