Oasis' support acts for the 2025 UK/Ireland reunion tour have reportedly been announced

The support acts for Oasis' 2025 reunion tour of the UK and Ireland have reportedly been announced.

Liam and Noel Gallagher will be coming next summer Oasis Live '25 to Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin for the Britpop band's first shows since 2009.

Since then, fans have speculated about who might be opening for the formerly estranged brothers at their shows. So far only support for the North American leg has been announced – including Cage The Elephant.

According to an “exclusive” report from The IndependentSupport for the UK and Ireland concerts will come from former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft and cast. The latter group recently opened for Liam's 30th anniversary tour, Definitely Maybe.

Sources close to Oasis said the two acts are booked for all UK and Ireland dates in 2025. It's reported that Cast will be first on the bill, followed by Ashcroft, before Oasis' headlining set.

Fans can expect an official announcement sometime next week, according to the outlet.

Earlier this month, Liam told his followers on X/Twitter that it would be either Ashcroft or Manic Street Preachers supporting Oasis in 2025. “Now all we need is to be BANNED on our fun trips,” he added.

In a separate post, the frontman said that Oasis would “never set sail without the one and only RICARDO,” adding, “He's our boy from day one when DOT came on board Rkid.”

When asked if Ashcroft might appear Oasis Live '25 Last month Liam replied: “That would be biblical.”

Ashcroft has had a long association with Oasis and served as inspiration for their 1995 hit “Cast No Shadow.” During an interview this year, Noel said: “I always felt he was born at the wrong time and the wrong place and always tried to say the right things, but they came out wrong.”

The former Verve singer also enlisted Liam to collaborate on an acoustic version of his 2000 song “C'mon People (We're Making It Now)” – which appears on Ashcroft's reimagined album Acoustic Hymns Vol. 2021. 1'.

In 2018, Ashcroft supported LG when he headlined London's Finsbury Park. The Verve also played with Oasis numerous times, including at their London Earl's Court shows in 1997.

Cast, meanwhile, opened for Oasis at their historic Knebworth concerts in 1996. Noel reportedly described watching the Liverpool Britpop band live as a “religious experience” in an interview with the band Daily record (above The Independent).

In February this year, Cast released their seventh and latest studio album, Love Is The Call, which charted at number three in the UK. Ashcroft's “Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1” reached second place in 2021 and followed “Natural Rebel” in 2018.

Last month it was reported that Liam was in the process of scouting for “established acts” to perform at next summer's big gigs.

Oasis previously confirmed that their UK and Ireland dates in 2025 would be the only European shows on their comeback tour. They later told fans that plans for more performances around the globe were “underway.”

Since then they have announced concerts in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia. Due to “phenomenal demand”, a third and final Melbourne gig was added to the latter tour yesterday (October 15).

NME In a report last month, they exclusively revealed that Oasis would be playing in Sydney and Melbourne. The article also listed upcoming performances in other international territories such as South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Chile and Argentina – none of which have been confirmed yet.

Elsewhere, Oasis have ruled out a headlining gig at Glastonbury 2025, saying they would not appear at any other festival next year. Liam and Noel have also dismissed rumors of a return to Knebworth in 2026.

Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the opportunity to support Oasis with them Live '25 Appointments. It currently looks unlikely that Suede or Fontaines DC will be in the line-up after Liam beat both bands online.

In other news, Liam said he and Noel had no plans to do any interviews together in connection with the highly anticipated reunion. “We are afraid of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to poke holes in our relationship,” he wrote.
