The Sacramento Kings sign Doug McDermott for the 2024/25 season

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Sacramento Kings have signed three-point specialist and veteran forward Doug McDermott to a one-year deal.

McDermott, 32, is a 10-year NBA veteran who has a career three-point shooting rate of 41 percent on 3.5 attempts per game.

The Kings had to address their lack of frontcourt depth after the recent trade that sent Jalen McDaniels to San Antonio, and now they have a 6-foot-2 wing to move into the secondary alongside Malik Monk, Kevin Huerter and Trey Lyles can integrate head coach Mike Brown's unit,

Sacramento will complete the preseason portion of its schedule Thursday night when it visits the Los Angeles Clippers at their new home, the Intuit Dome.
