The Miami rapper just admitted to using Ozempic

“There is no shame in the Ozempic game,” says Fat Joe.

As Us Weekly reports, the Miami rap icon has come clean about using the wildly popular weight loss drug.

The prescription drug, also known as semaglutide, is primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes. It helps the pancreas secrete more insulin, reduces your liver's sugar production, and slows the rate at which food moves through your body.

The result: your appetite is reduced and you feel full for longer.

It was the perfect starting point for the “All the Way Up” singer, who has struggled with the scale for years. Bronx-born Joseph Cartegena was actually diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 12 and therefore had easy access to the celebrity-loved drug.

He told the outlet his main goal is to avoid high-calorie treats like bread, pasta, and rice, which, as we all know, is nearly impossible. This is where portion control comes into play.

“We’re cutting carbs and trying to be smarter,” he said.

The 54-year-old showed off his impressive figure in Men's Health magazine last summer after losing 200 pounds.

He told the magazine that he started eating emotionally after the death of his obese pal Big Pun in 2000 and hasn't really stopped. At one point, Joe weighed 470 pounds.

But don't worry, fans: The name will always be the same, no matter how slim he gets.

“It wouldn’t make sense to change it,” he told MH. “Now it’s my brand. It’s what I built.”
