Jesse Lee Soffer opens approximately FBI: International!

The 40-year-old One Chicago star joins as Fly Team's new boss, Supervisory Special Agent Wes Mitchell Ward 19'S Jay Hayden also joins the series in a recurring role.

Season 4 of the series starts on CBS on Tuesday, October 15th.

In an interview with TV Insider, Jesse explained what he can expect from his new addition to the team and from his friend Jay Hayden Enter as Agent Tyler Booth.

“I have one of my best friends in the world, Jay Haydenwho was there Ward 19 Most recently, I came to do a big, fun story arc in which I portrayed a character from Wes's past. He was an old partner and they had been through a lot together. There's obviously a really nice relationship dynamic there Jay and I have a really fun dynamic that will hopefully come through in front of the camera,” he said, adding, “And I think it's going to be a real treat for the TV fans because we've always been on different shows on TV , and I think so too. “It’ll be really cool to see us in the same universe.”

The character Jay plays like some kind of “evil angel on Wes' shoulder,” he revealed.

“Wes already does things to the beat of his own drummer and that character is adding gasoline to the fire and being a bad influence.” And Smitty's (Eva Jane Willis) like the good angel saying, “Hey, wait a minute.” What do you two think?' So this is a really entertaining story for the fans.”

“Wes really doesn’t do things by procedure, doesn’t do things by the book and plays to the beat of his own drum, which is a frustration and a thorn in Smitty’s side.” Jesse went on to address other dynamics on the show. “There's some funny relationship dynamics going on because they're not sure how much trouble is this guy going to get us into?”
