“Dancing With The Stars” pro Emma Slater suffers injury

After last week's double elimination on ABC, success continued for professional player Emma Slater Dancing with the stars.

Not only were she and her partner Reginald VelJohnson banned from the ballroom after failing their cha-cha and foxtrot, the pro also suffered an ankle injury in an unknown accident. She will not be dancing as part of the troupe for the time being.

“Today I threw a little curve ball but was cared for by some special people,” she wrote on Instagram. “I thought I'd take on my fellow #retired pros but unfortunately I got #eliminated from this team too so I think I'll join @thereginaldveljohnson and just sit on the couch for a while.”

After the special two-part competition on October 7th and 8th, VelJohnson and Slater scored 21 out of 40 for their Foxtrot and 21 out of 40 for their Cha Cha. They were eliminated along with Eric Roberts and his partner Britt Stewart.

Today's episode of DWTS is dedication night. The nine remaining couples will enter the ballroom to honor influential people/institutions in their lives. Mark Ballas will serve as guest judge, while Derek and Hayley Hough will celebrate their return to the ballroom with a routine.
