Amari Cooper posts cryptic message after Bill's blockbuster

Amari Cooper had a little news following a surprise trade involving his name on Tuesday afternoon.

The star wideout was sent from the sinking Browns to the first-place Bills, and he took to his Instagram Story where he wrote three words with no further context.

“Move or rust,” Cooper wrote in the post, which did not include any images.

The trade – which includes a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-rounder going to Cleveland for Cooper, as well as a 2025 sixth-rounder – was made just hours after the Jets completed their own blockbuster deal for a wideout and Aaron Rodgers reunited with Davante Adams, concluded.

The five-time Pro Bowler had 24 catches for 250 yards with Deshaun Watson in Cleveland, but his numbers should increase with Josh Allen in Buffalo.

Cooper would immediately be Buffalo's leading receiver as Khalil Shakir led the Bills with 249 yards and two touchdowns.

After Stefon Diggs was traded to the Texans in an offseason trade, the Bills were less top-heavy on the outside, with five players posting double-digit earnings in six games.

Without Cooper, the Bills ranked 23rd in passing offense with 1,118 yards.

Even with Cooper, the Browns failed on offense, totaling just 858 passing yards – which ranks 29th in the NFL.

“We appreciate Amari’s hard work, professionalism and on-field contributions during his two-plus seasons with us,” Browns general manager Andrew Berry said in a statement Tuesday. “He created many unforgettable moments with us and was an integral part of our 2023 playoff team.

“We wish him all the best in Buffalo as he continues his NFL career.”
